About Atomic Motion Studio
Where Dreams Propel Reality
Hi, I’m Callum, the driving force behind Atomic Motion Studio. My journey through the creative realms of film and animation is a tale of tenacity, resilience, and dreams unfolding against the odds.
The performing arts first captured my imagination, but the path was anything but smooth. After facing countless rejections from acting roles and a nerve-wracking audition at AC Arts that ended before I could even sing a note, I knew a pivot was necessary.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, I applied to M.A.P.S Film School, facing rejection twice before a last-minute acceptance changed everything.
At 28, older and fueled by a fierce determination to catch up, I immersed myself completely in learning, not just to make friends but to master the craft I was quickly growing to love.
Despite the hurdles, I emerged as one of the few to advance in film school, focusing intensely on directing 3 short films that were my own canvas, my own challenge.
Post-film school, life threw yet another curve-ball—the pandemic. Instead of seeing it as a setback, I saw an opportunity to grow further. I aimed for a place at Australia’s premier Digital Arts degrees; CDW Studios/Flinders University.
After an initial rejection and a moment of sheer frustration, I fought back with a new showreel crafted over two sleepless nights. My persistence paid off, and I was accepted, diving into a world as magical as Hogwarts, filled with the artistry behind Hollywood blockbusters.
Surrounded by young, talented peers, their energy and commitment even amidst global uncertainty inspired me. They weren’t just fellow students; they were my teachers, pushing me to adopt new software and techniques at breakneck speeds. This period of intense growth caught the eye of Adelaide’s top ad agency, KWPX, where I further honed my skills as a full-time editor and VFX Designer.
Today, Atomic Motion Studio is a testament to a journey filled with more than just obstacles—it’s a celebration of the dreams and relentless spirit that drive us forward. We’re here to bring that same magic, dedication, and innovation to your projects, transforming bold visions into breathtaking realities.
